Terms of Service
About these terms
These terms govern access to BuyersIQ and related websites or applications we operate. They are a working draft for product and engineering alignment — an admitted Australian solicitor must review and replace this text before you rely on it commercially.
The service
BuyersIQ offers AI-assisted reading of property disclosure packs and related contract documents. Outputs are informational and must be checked by a qualified lawyer or conveyancer (see our Disclaimer).
Plans and purchases
We may offer both subscription plans and one-off purchases. The checkout screen and tax invoice will identify what you bought, the price, and whether GST applies. If a feature is labelled beta or pilot, we may change or withdraw it on notice where the law allows.
Subscriptions
Where you subscribe, billing cycles, renewal, and cancellation mechanics follow the plan description at purchase and the final terms here. Until counsel signs off, treat Stripe receipts and in-product copy as the operative commercial record.
One-off purchases
One-off fees (for example a single review or an add-on such as human review) are incurred when you complete checkout unless we state otherwise. Entitlements attach to the account that paid unless we agree a transfer in writing.
Refunds
Refund rights depend on what you purchased and applicable consumer law. Digital services may have limitations; human-review add-ons or other professional services may follow separate policies. We will publish a refunds annex that matches 12-billing-payments/08-refunds once it exists in-repo — until then, email support@buyersiq.com.au (replace with the production address in lib/brand.ts).
Liability and reliance
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an “as is” basis. We are not a law firm; we do not warrant that outputs are legally complete or that use of BuyersIQ will satisfy any statutory obligation. Any liability cap or exclusion will be stated here after review — do not assume limits are final from this draft.
Suspension
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of the Acceptable use policy, non-payment, risk to other users, or where required by law. Where reasonable, we will give notice and a chance to remedy.
Changes
We may update these terms and will adjust the “Last updated” date and (where material) notify account holders. Continued use after the effective date may constitute acceptance where statute permits.
